제목 : Introduction to Newton-Okounkov Bodies

초록: A Newton-Okounkov body is a convex subset of Euclidean space associated to a divisor on a projective variety. It is a far reaching generalization of Newton polygon of a polynomial. In this talk, we will see how to read off many important properties in algebra and geometry such as the degree, the number of solution, and asymptotic invariants of a divisor from Newton-Okounkov bodies.

제목 : Lorentzian Lattices of Algebraic Geometry

초록: In this talk, we discuss the E_n type root lattices embedded within the standard Lorentzian lattice Z_n^{n+1} (3 \leq n \leq 8) and their discrete geometry from the point of view of del Pezzo surface geometry. We also introduce the notions of line vectors, rational conic vectors, and rational cubic vectors and discuss the relation between these special vectors and the combinatiorics of the Gosset polytopes of type (n − 4)_{21}. This is a joint work with Adrian Clingher.
